Concord Senior Night: Trojans versus Spiders, Spring Show expands

Northwest Cabarrus visits Concord’s Rimer Gym, Coach Bo Court

A highlight from last week’s action
Southern Spring Home & Garden Show expands

Charlotte, N.C. The Southern Spring Home & Garden Show hasn’t endured for 55 years solely because it’s big, grand and comprehensive. It’s also consumer-friendly. The show’s set-up allows guests to easily compare prices and make the most cost-effective decisions about lawn, garden and home improvements.

This year’s Southern Spring Home & Garden Show – scheduled for two consecutive weekends from Feb. 20 through March 1 – has everything under one giant roof. The show returns to its roots with the theme of “Carolina Calling.” Think: Moon Pies, barbecue, big banks, dogwoods and pine forests. The show is celebrating all things Carolina – from the state’s foodways to its stature as a financial center.

“Guests tell us the show is a big time-saver for them,” said Mardee Woodward, the show’s manager for the past seven years. “They don’t need to run all over town visiting one supplier or showroom after another. They don’t have to make a lot of phone calls or do online research. All the expertise they could want is right here under one roof. Guests get the information – including pricing – they need to make informed decisions about home and lawn improvements.”

“The show gives guests an opportunity to comparison shop and save money,” Woodward said.

The show offers guests the perfect opportunity to:

• Learn from award-winning landscapers
• Get the latest ideas on lawn and garden – and home improvement
• Sample your favorite foods and wine
• Explore designer rooms for the newest ideas in home decor
• Enjoy horticulture, design and how-to clinics
