High Point advances, Davidson-Randolph tied
#2 seed High Point beat Winston-Salem 7-4 Thursday to take the second round series 3 games to 1.
The Hi-Toms now play #3 seed Eastern Randolph. It will be the semi-finals for Area III American Legion Baseball.
Davidson County beat Randolph County 2-1 to even the series 2-2. The deciding game 5 will be tonight (Friday) in Asheboro. The winner plays #1 seed Rowan County.
The semi-final series begin Sunday. They are also best of five series.
High Point 7, Winston-Salem 4; High Point wins series 3 – 1. Davidson Co. 2, Randolph Co. 1; Series tied 2 – 2. Game 5 @ Randolph Friday.
High Point (#2 seed) will play Eastern Randolph (#3 seed) in Round 3. High Point has home field advantage. Round 3 begins on Sunday.
