Remembering Todd Kevin Rose
The Hickory Ridge High School girls basketball coach continues to recruit possible donors to the national BE THE MATCH Registry.
On Wednesday, January 10th, Hickory Ridge HS will join forces with Central CabarrusHigh School to help save lives. Hickory Ridge will host the fourth annual BE THE MATCH drive in memory of Todd Kevin Rose, the brother of the girls basketball coach Tolonda Rose Simmons. For the past five years BE THE MATCH drives we are averaging about 12 individuals taking the step and signing up, Simmons said.

Morrow donors in our community are urgently needed to save the lives of patients with diseases like leukemia, lymphoma, or sickle cell anemia. Patients are most likely to match someone who shares their ethnic background. Many patients are in need of a matching blood type.
Hendrick BMW of Charlotte, Hendrick BMW of Northlake, and Hendrick Mini of Charlotte are sponsoring the basketball players and coaches’ from both schools with special t-shirt and coaches shirts with an orange ribbon. Todd worked for the Hendrick Automotive Group for 24 years.
