 Morgan leads Cox Mill boys over A.C. Reynolds

North Iredell eliminated the Concord Spiders 72-59 in the first round of the NCHSAA boys basketball playoffs Wednesday. It was the Spiders’ first first round loss since 2002.

South Iredell eliminated the Central Cabarrus girls and Charlotte Catholic eliminated the Jay M. Robinson girls in first round action Wednesday.

th Hickory Ridge teams, A.L. Brown girls, Jay M. Robinson boys, and the Cox Mill boys were postponed Wednesday because of forecast snow and travel restrictions. The games were pushed back to Thursday, but snow forced the postponement again.

Here are when the games are currently scheduled:

East Gaston at Hickory Ridge girls 4 p.m. Friday

McMichael at Hickory Ridge boys 5:30 p.m. Friday

A.C. Reynolds at Cox Mill boys 5 p.m. Friday

The A.L. Brown girls team is scheduled to play at Rocky River and  the Jay M. Robinson boys at Alexander Central but we don’t have a time yet for those games.

Radio Free Cabarrus is planning broadcasts and hopes to have multiple games. Check back for details and more information. We will post information as it becomes available.
