Scrimmages from Memorial Stadium in Kannapolis Friday, Aug. 15
The A.L. Brown Wonders will host this year’s Cabarrus Football Jamboree at Memorial Stadium in Kannapolis. The Wonders and the Concord Spiders alternate hosting the preseason scrimmages. The Spiders will be hosting the Battle for the Bell with Kannapolis, Friday, Aug. 22, at Robert C. Bailey Stadium.
Here is the schedule for the jamboree:
J.M. Robinson versus East Mecklenburg at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15
Concord versus Butler at 7 p.m.
A.L. Brown versus East Rowan 8 p.m.
We hope to see you at the stadium but if you can’t make listen in to the call with John Voncannon, Chris Hudson, Shaked Bar-tal and Mark Plemmons. Video will be available after the event.
Radio Free Cabarrus will broadcast games throughout the season on High School Cube Each game begins and ends with the Sundrop Pregame and Postgame Shows. This year’s broadcasts will feature the Ben Mynatt Buick, Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac Halftime Show.
Other scrimmages tonight include: Mount Pleasant at North Stanly 6 p.m.; North Mecklenburg vs. Hickory Ridge 9 p.m. at Mooresville; and West Stanly at Thomasville.
Week One games to be broadcast are:
A.L. Brown at Concord
Mount Pleasant at Central Cabarrus
J.M. Robinson at Cox Mill
Other week one games include: Northwest Cabarrus at West Stanly, Piedmont at Hickory Ridge, and North Raleigh at Cannon School.
