2-A Playoffs: Mount Pleasant at Owen

Mount Pleasant trailed 7-0 but battled back for a 42-21 win over previously unbeaten Owen. Cody Reece rushed for 246 yards and four TDs. Robert Johns intercepted three passes and returned a kickoff for a TD.

 

Mount Pleasant will play at Shelby Dec. 5 for the 2-A Western Regional title.

It’s a

battle of two of the top running backs in North Carolina as Cody Reece and his Mount Pleasant Tigers travel to Black Mountain to play Jager Gardner and his Owen Warhorses.
The Tigers are 12-2 and have won 12 straight. The Warhorses are 12-1. Both are conference champs.
Owen beat Mount Pleasant 13-0 in the first round of the playoffs in 2013.
