Listen to the Radio Free Cabarrus broadcast (audio only) of the game with Mark Plemmons, Chris Hudson and Shaked Bar-Tal. Cox Mill is trying for back to back state titles after winning in Chapel Hill a year ago. It could be three in a row for Cabarrus County aka #hoopsvillenc after Jay M. Robinson won the title two years ago.
The task will be tall for the Chargers, who have won 17 straight games. The opponent, Jacksonville’s Northside Monarchs, have won 59 straight games and are the defending state 2A champions. Tip is at 7:30 p.m (approximate). We’ll be on the air at 7:15 p.m. Saturday, March 10.
The Independent Tribune has extensive pregame coverage and will have photos and lots more on-line at Independenttribune.com
Jemal Horton and Henry Hutton, winners for N.C. Press Association Awards for their sports coverage, will be on hand to cover the game for the Independent Tribune.
On the Radio
Memories 98.3 FM and WTIX-AM 1410 in Concord will also broadcast the game.

The Cube is going away
A message from Mark Plemmons of Radio Free Cabarrus:
Today’s broadcast on The Cube by Radio Free Cabarrus will likely be our last broadcast on that platform. We appreciate all the help The Cube has provided these last few years since Larry Cotter recruited us to use their platform. The media world is constantly changing.
NFHS Network bought The Cube and The Cube will be shut down May 1. Many of the broadcasters are moving to the NFHS Network. Most of RFC’s broadcasts will be there, though we are looking at other possible platforms where we might broadcast live free games.
Even if we find a suitable platform most of our games will still be on NFHS Network due to the NCHSAA fee structure. We encourage those who can to became subscribers to NFHS Network. The cost is $9.95 per month. For those who can’t subscribe our games will be available to view free 72 hours after the event.
We appreciate the tremendous support of our listeners/viewers and will strive to improve and bring you exciting games and events.
